The skyline of the city looms over you intimidatingly. Compared to your quaint and cozy camp, this is a monstrosity. The city emits a greater sense of foreboding than the Forest surrounding your camp. It's too dangerous for most Exiles to come here, and you're either really far astray, on a mission, or undiscovered by the Camp. Tread with caution.

Sadie Edwards The werecat padded through the town, her blue eyes glaring in hatred at the place where she had lived until, in one night that seemed too... well, horrible... to be real, it was all torn away and she was thrust, flailing and mewling like a newborn kit, into some new world. That new world had become her home. Her pawpads were unaccustomed to the hot asphalt, and she winced when she first set foot there, only partially because of the heat. Something felt off... And then she placed it. Sirens. An animal control truck spun into her view, its wheels screeching on the blacktop. Sadie flattened her ears, and frantically waved her tail for Hazel to stay back. She had already been spotted, and running would be futile and only lead them to Hazel. But, if she stood her ground, she could inflict pain upon them and save Hazel- so she could run back to camp. All this raced through her mind as a tranquilizer gun was loaded and pointed at her. As the dart, fletched with red feathers, swirled towards her, Sadie leapt aside and started dashing at the men attempting to capture her. This seems awfully violent and sudden for Animal Control- how did they even know we were coming? Her claws frantically scrabbled on the pavement as she realized that this was a trap- that they had been monitoring the Gate and that they were WAITING for more Exiles. Her mind was working superfast, gears clicking into place that she hadn't even known had been there. And as Sadie went screeching into a kennel, too small for her to shift back to a human, she desperately attempted to broadcast her realization to Hazel. The red flash of a security camera in the forest, the Animal Control- everything. But she wasn't sure if it had worked, because she was already disappearing into the metal van. A dark-haired man with a scar running across his left eye (that looked oddly like clawmarks) approached her. "Out with it, werecat." He spat. "Where's your friend?" Sadie balked and mewed, like an innocent cat. The man was unconvinced and merely waited for her to lose her nerves.

Hazel cursed under her breath as she saw Sadie being carted away. "Ok. First, I get turned into a cat. Now my best friend is being abducted. This is shaping up to be a wonderful day!"
Deciding to follow Sadie's warning, she dashed away from the gate. She ended up in a dark alleyway, filled with trashcans and piles of what she hoped was dirt. Hazel curled up behind one of the piles, tucked her tail over her nose, and fell asleep. Hopefully she could look for Sadie in the morning.

Zachary Hughes The rat promptly turned back into his human form, upon noticing a napping cat in an alleyway. A quick examination of the surrounding scene revealed pawprints, heavy with Sadie's scent, and then tire marks. The cat pawprints soon became deeper, more random, and punctuated with clawmarks. Then, it appeared that the feline had been dragged into the truck, which had parked. Then, they drove off towards the lab.
God damn it, Sades, now I have to go rescue you.
But then, he remembered the other cat, who looked shockingly like Hazel Anderson from camp. He transformed into a white cat and slunk up beside Hazel. "Hey there, Basil." That's what he always called her, after first meeting her. "Where's the Sadester?"
He really had too many petnames, and too little to do. He was talking to a sleeping cat, who may or may not be Hazel Anderson. Sadie, as the only werecat in camp, must have gotten mad at her. Really mad...

Shiragari flew around the place, and landed in a rather interesting area. A cat-boy talking to a red-head.

Hazel blinked her eyes open, to see a slightly familiar white cat staring at her. "Zach?" She asked, getting to her paws. "Why are you here?!? Suddenly, a bird landed about five feet away from the pair. "Gods, this is getting weirder and weirder."

The bird hopped close to the pair and hopped into Zach's hair and made it into a nest.

Hazel stopped laughing and got serious. "Sadie...she was captured by some humans. They're patrolling the gate, waiting to capture exiles."

Zachary Hughes He, too, adopted a serious expression. "Well then, time for me to be her knight in shining armor." He puffed out his chest arrogantly, and started strutting around a bit. Mid-step, he was a winged human again. But I'm not doing it for Sadester, I'm doing it for Amber. He thought.
